Jyotish, or Vedic Astrology, describes the planetary patterns at the time of our birth and can give us valuable clues to understanding our soul’s purpose.  In Sanskrit, the word Jyotish is translated as the science of light and refers to a mathematically sophisticated form of astrology originating in the ancient Vedic traditions of India.  Jyotish is a living tradition and sacred art, which has been passed from teacher to student orally for over 5000 years.

Jyotish is part of the Veda itself and can be used as a means of deep inquiry into the Self. It is one of the six Vedāṅga, or limbs of the Veda, which are tools used to access the rich knowledge of the Veda itself.
